Mar 13th 2008 12:32PM I think I'll wait for the Ford Flex, the mileage may not be any better but more useable space at a lower price point.

It's no different than when Bob Lutz said the Prius was 'worthless' or whatever comment he made...

Can cable compete with satellite? {Engadget HD}
Oct 12th 2007 12:42PM I just switched from Comcast to DirecTV. Not so much that I was unhappy with Comcast (although their HD-DVR is far worse than the DirecTV one) but because they couldn't tell me any timeline for adding new HD. To me it's about content, not about the box.
And the HD quality, despite my mis-givings about rumoured 'HD-lite', has been perfectly fine - just as good as Comcast. I guess it was worse back when the used MPEG-2?
The definition of an HD channel? {Engadget HD}
Sep 21st 2007 8:24PM Of course there's plenty of 'good reason' to complain.
When color came around, the studios rushed to produce their big shows in color to steal viewership. It was the consumers who sat around and said 'why do I need a color tv when my b&w works fine?'
Now, it's the opposite. Consumers want HD and the providers don't way to pay to produce it.
Fine, as a consumer I'll go out and buy a nice high quality SD TV while they make up their mind....Oh wait, I can't do that....they're all HD now!
"Stepneygate" verdict reached: McLaren stripped of '07 championship points, fined $100 million {Autoblog}
Sep 13th 2007 8:54PM "This is ridiculous. Firstly McLaren haven't been found guilty of using the data, meerly possessing it."
I thought the point of this new hearing was to review the new email evidence of Alonso discussing with de La Rosa (their test driver) how the car has improved with the info they got from Ferrari.

The real question is how you garnered your arrogant attitude without any substance to back it up.
Oh, that's right, you're American.
Never mind...

Jul 28th 2007 6:20PM "The profits from vehicle sales stay in America no matter where money is spent or where the vehicles are made"
That is some wacky, voodoo economics. And no, it doesn't. Sometimes, it gets spent overseas. Do you even read what you typing?
How does GM spending $6Billion in Korea to hire Korean designers, Korean accountants, Korean assemblyline workers, etc. help American workers in any way?
Oh wait, it doesn't. Except it helps YOU, Mr. RETIRED GM autoworker keep his pension and overpriced healthcare. I do feel sorry for you, in that you inexplicably trusted your retirement to a corporation with a 30 year history of lies and distortions.
And by the way, Volvo is owned by Ford, despite what your wacky website says...

Jul 28th 2007 5:41PM Except that GM just spent a bunch of it's "bottom line profits" in Korea, not America.
But don't let the truth stand in the way of your over the hill jingoism.
