So you just got an Apple TV -- now what? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Dec 27th 2008 1:07AM AppleTV haters abound :)
You probably want to add a bigger drive. I did the hack seen here:
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=438073
I use RSS feeds and torrents to download my TV and a little workflow with VisualHub and MetaX to get the shows into iTunes. Having a large hard drive makes syncing right.
The video output is great. DVDs look perfect and down-ripped Blu-Ray discs (720p) look so good I don't feel like pulling the source discs to watch on the blu-ray player (PS3).
Apple opposes Calif. Prop 8, donates $100k to 'No' campaign {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Oct 24th 2008 6:11PM @Christians: it really is simple. If you don't want people pushing back against your religion, then stop pushing your religion onto us. America is a secular nation, regardless of the fantasy your religious leaders try to teach you. Keep your religion out of our laws and we will try not to have gay "marital relations" in your church.

Nikon's D90: the DSLR for HD junkies? {Engadget HD}
Sep 8th 2008 2:18PM So far the example images I have seen for the D90 are stunning, especially the depth of field examples.
I have actually used the Casio EX-F1 for a while (example HD quality here: http://www.robotthoughts.com/cute/2008/09/kid-acting/) and found it DID replace my camcorder for most uses. Of course the EX-F1 leaned a little bit further into the video camera territory.
@Aaron the EX-F1 did not have any of those limitations, but I think the video quality is a bit worse than what examples I have seen for the D90.
TUAW Review: Logitech Harmony remote and the Mac {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Feb 11th 2008 1:45PM I have the harmony one remote. It did a great job setting up the satellite, receiver, tivo, and AppleTV. No fiddling just straight setup out of the box in 10 minutes. I had to build activities to get the Wii setup and the PS3 but that only took a few minutes. Of course, the remote can't control the Wii and PS3 (though I just ordered the Nyko Blue Wave for the PS3).
Ask Engadget HD: Does cable, satellite, or fiber provide more HD? {Engadget HD}
Feb 6th 2008 10:37PM Anyone know satellite locations for DirecTV vs Dish? DirecTV can't get my HD to work due to tree issues and they won't move higher up the roof line for fear of water damage.
