AT&T sues Verizon over 'there's a map for that' ads {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 3rd 2009 4:58PM "The point" is that AT&T's network frankly sucks. Anyone who's used it or knows someone who has either in remotely regional areas, close to a building downtown, or even inside their house knows it, including AT&T. So a lawsuit trying to argue that they are misleading customers by implying that they will have problems with speed or connection is more than a little off base.

Apple shipping Snow Leopard in September, $29 upgrade {Engadget}

Jun 8th 2009 6:24PM I just love that Apple started their explanation of Snow Leopard by bashing that the new Windows 7 is just a retooled version of Vista.... and then announced a retooled version of their own OS.

Having used both windows vista and windows 7 extensively, I would love to hear his specific examples to back up his blanket criticism. And just because you say "We kept it the same cause we love it so much" doesn't mean you aren't being a total hypocrite by bashing Windows 7 and announcing Snow Leopard in the same breath. This whole keynote was smoke and mirrors.

Poll: Has your Xbox 360 been dealt the E74 error? {Engadget}

Mar 20th 2009 1:09PM One year and two months after I got a 360 Elite, mine actually had visual errors (reduced color count - looked like windows safe mode - followed by random squiggly lines on a completely black screen) but did not get the single quadrant light. Microsoft refused to fix it unless I paid $100 - and even then they quoted the fix would take "a few months". I refused to give them another dime since my box had been well taken care of.

Finally, and thankfully, after months of turning it off and on and it working for a couple minutes for 1 try out of 10, it skipped the single light and went straight into RROD. I shipped it to Microsoft and it was fixed in less than a week.

I'm just annoyed that they refuse to admit that the RROD is not the only problem with their poorly constructed console. The fact that any other problem would cost $100 and take "months" to fix because of the priority given to RROD customers is ridiculous.
