Apple approves third-party email client for the App Store, violates its own policies {Engadget}
Nov 22nd 2008 8:10PM Since Apple violated its own policies, how about approving StyleTap's Palm OS emulation app for the iPhone & Touch? I could finally put my nearly 3-year-old Tungsten E2 and its declining battery to rest.

Apple (probably) prepping a patch for mysterious clicking issue on new MacBooks {Engadget}
Nov 5th 2008 6:40PM MB/MBP Rev.B "new features":
- Improved trackpad
- Improved MacBook display on all configurations
- maybe a new "premium" MB with a P9500, 4GB RAM & cinema display at $1699 ($100 price reduction on current configurations)
- Better QC
- Matte option (maybe)
- MacBook with FW800 (dreaming)
It usually does make sense to wait for rev. B of any new design. I would expect things to improve early next year. As for the early adopters, maybe a software patch will help...maybe.
GeForce 9400M to hit notebooks from five major vendors, mock Intel {Engadget}
Oct 23rd 2008 2:21PM The new Dell Studio XPS 13 coming out next month will probably get it. The Studio XPS 16 will probably get the same setup as the new MBP, 9400M & 9600M GT.
Users report screen issues with PSP Brite, Sony investigating {PSP Fanboy}
Oct 20th 2008 10:50PM Well, now I don't feel so bad about having an "inferior" display on my PSP-2001.
Let's face it, getting a good display on your PSP, DS Lite, iPod or notebook these days is almost like winning the lotto, especially on a "new" model. Too many cheap, inferior panels going around in Chinese factories these days.
Miyamoto wants 'big, new ideas' in next Zelda {Nintendo Wii Fanboy}
Oct 9th 2008 3:42PM The next Zelda game should be set in today's world. Link should be a high-school student struggling with teen issues like school, girls, drugs, parents and getting into a good college (his future). One day he realizes that those issues will have to take a backseat when he discovers who he really is and what real challenges await him. The CEO of a mega-corporation will try to conquer our modern world using the evil that Link's ancestors stopped. It's time for Link to grow up and save our world. If they go the scifi route, people will think they just copied SMG, not that it wouldn't work, but I think a modern setting would make it better.

You may be there by the beginning of next month according to one rumor.
Reggie: DSi not in North America until 'after April' {DS Fanboy}
Oct 3rd 2008 3:34PM I think Reggie knows that the DSi is just a prelude to the next-gen Nintendo portable console. In other words, it might convince some current Phat owners and even some current Lite owners to upgrade, but he knows most of us will wait for the next hardware announcement. The Japanese are a different story.
The future is definitely in downloading games to the internal flash drive/SDHC card in your portable system. The convenience factor is just too overwhelming to ignore. The problem is it's too late for the current generation to really take advantage of it since most of us already own/played most of the best games that will ever come out on it. Had it been released two years ago...
Anyway, here's looking forward to the next gen Nintendo/Sony portable systems where you can download games, install them on the 16/32/64GB internal flash drive/SDHC/MS Pro card and be able to play dozens of games anytime you want on your system (as well as music & videos)...like what you can do on the iPhone/Touch now.
Microsoft 'can't say' whether they'll beat Nintendo {Nintendo Wii Fanboy}
Sep 6th 2008 1:18AM The question is will the PS3 catch up with the 360? I think Sony has a good chance.
Sony's 16.4-inch VAIO FW laptop gets previewed {Engadget}
Jul 28th 2008 1:46PM Now if only Sony made the HD 3650/70 available to NA consumers (or even better a 9600M GT or 9650M GS). I'll get the Sony Z as my travel/backup notebook and wait for Dell's 16.4" XPS model, hopefully with a better graphics card. Unless, Sony upgrades the GPU option in the meantime.
