also, there's others like Qype radar and NRU which do exactly the same but without the camera view

Jun 18th 2009 8:47AM @LondonConsultant, that has already been done without the camera app, there's NRU, one by google and Qype radar (and probably others), plus there's also Wikitude which does the same as this app but has been around longer so I don't know why Layar is being called the 1st in the world!

ga.andres1, you link is limited too as it only works in certain browsers and is therefore not up to w3c standards so I cannot view that either.

May 28th 2009 10:45AM It does the same thing v1 used to do for months before it was sorted, it asks for the proxy username and password for every site, every reload, every tab and most of the time it asks more than once per page (if there's other sites/adverts embedded)
It's unusable at work, just as v1 used to be (so had to use chromium)

version 2 doesn't work with the web proxy at my work like the beta versions of 1 didn't so the software is unusable for me!
