Aug 27th 2008 8:07AM It depends on the game and what it adds to the exerpience really. Warhawk's booster packs are $8, but they add a lot of reply value. COD4 could add another map pack for $10 and I'd buy it also. It also helps that the Warhawk devs add lots of FREE content as well, so it makes you want to support these guys.
To answer the question more directly, I would pay a total of what the game costs in DLC if it added a lot of replay value and/or changed gameplay. I would not buy this Space Invaders DLC, nor will I buy the original game now that I see what they're doing.

Aug 13th 2008 8:06AM Wow I can relate to Fin Diesel... when I was 9-10ish we were playing in the creek in our front yard and wandered down to the far end and we found a bee's nest. Unfortunately my friend was/is an idiot and through a bucket of water on the nest. Me, I was a portly fellow. This meant that I was the last one to vacate the area, and was soon engulfed by a swarm of yellow jackets.
All said and done, I was stung over 150 times. The thing that hurt the most was the beating I received from my mother with a JC Penney catalog (to get the bees off of me, duh!).
So maybe I could have won this contest if I had entered my story about why I am afraid of anything that goes "buzz". Oh well, congrats to Fin Diesel!
Microsoft brings Netflix streaming to the Xbox 360 for Live Gold members {Engadget}

"This movie watching innovation will be available to Xbox LIVE Gold members who are also Netflix subscribers and will let those users enjoy streaming movies from Netflix on Xbox LIVE at no additional cost."
The "no additional cost" is just buzz... you have to have a Netflix account as well as Xbox LIVE. Basically their sentence is misleading... what they intended was that you didn't have to pay anything above and beyond the normal Xbox LIVE fee to use this... IF you're a current Netflix customer.

Jun 27th 2008 8:16AM I think it's a bit absurd to say you wouldn't like a channel as much if it isn't in HD. Either you like the content or you don't! HD is great, but it doesn't make a show inherently better... if content sucks, it sucks. HD enhances it, particularly with Discovery, History, and especially sports.... but it doesn't turn a crappy channel into a good one.
Maybe I'm over analyzing the statement, but it seems a bit pretentious.
