Charter unleashes bevy of HD channels in Atlanta, Georgia market {Engadget HD}

Mar 6th 2008 10:59AM Rob D:
Do you happen to know if any of these channels are unencrypted clear QAM? Or would I need some type of set-top box to receive them?

Poll: What Blu-ray player will you be picking up? {Engadget HD}

Feb 20th 2008 12:43PM HTPC... just waiting for an internal BD-R-drive with a silver bezel. The black would just look too tacky in my Antec case.

Ask Engadget HD: Is it finally safe to buy a Blu-ray player? {Engadget HD}

Feb 13th 2008 12:36PM The Netflix decision for me was huge. I've been waiting to see which way they move before making a purchasing decision. However, I'm still waiting for the price of the players to fall. I'm going blu-ray, but would like to see their players at the price points that HD-DVD players have now.

Poll: Should HD DVD throw in the towel? {Engadget HD}

Jan 17th 2008 11:37AM I usually don't notice the post author's name when I read articles on this site. But it's uncanny that every time there is a shoddy article that looks like it was written by some teen-ager on his MySpace page, the 2 words at the top always read "Ben Drawbaugh".

I hope that he runs this site, because otherwise I can't think of a reason why Engadget let's this moron post here.

Simple "hack" yields extra resolutions from Scientific Atlanta 8300HD DVR {Engadget HD}

Dec 18th 2007 3:54PM I'm going to go home tonight and "hack" my television. It didn't come with an ON/OFF button, but I discovered that if you hold down this little red button on the channel changer device that says 'POWER' the TV will turn on.

Spider-Man 3 didn't break any records on Blu-ray its first week {Engadget HD}

Nov 8th 2007 7:00PM Ben, we realize it's a blog, but you should rename it to "Engadget BD" so that the name matches the content.

Could a la carte mean fewer HDTV channels? {Engadget HD}

Aug 27th 2007 1:09PM "without the traditional subsidizing system that there would be less Spanish channels"

I think just the opposite is true. If you had the ability to order channels on a per-channel basis. Would not a lot of Spanish speaking people order their 3/4 Spanish channels and say the hell with the other 76 English channels?

CNET unveils its top-rated HDTVs {Engadget HD}

Jul 10th 2007 11:54AM How come this website/blog rarely (never?) links to the stories that it discusses? It's very strange and annoying.
