Oct 7th 2008 7:34PM Sorry, dude, there are two clear schools of thought on that... I LOATHE the RB guitar. It feels like a piece of garbage, the strum bar feels like fiddling with a rubber band and I can never tell if the buttons are even registering. I want to know when I'm hitting stuff. I used the RB guitar like twice and immediately switched back to my GH3 wireless one.
I've talked to friends who are about split down the middle on the issue, so I'd gladly replace my aging GH3 "axe" with the world tour one if it's got the same "feel" to the buttons and strum bar.
As far as drums, I know there are people who hate the RB drums, but personally I don't mind them at all. It's all a matter of preference; maybe I just feel more at home with the GH-style guitar because I've been using their hardware for so long.

Oct 7th 2008 12:38PM The new guitar is all fancy-fied compared to the GH3 guitar, apparently. Also, you can use the Rock Band drums and mic, and since the RB guitar is shite, it's technically possible that a non-GH3 owner who has RB would want to purchase the GHWT package with the apparently better guitar.
Actually, I might be in for this package if the guitar is decent, as my GH3 wireless guitar has been on the fritz lately, yet I have no desire to purchase more plastic drums.

Oct 6th 2008 8:33PM Actually I believe SNL is on a break this weekend, but regardless I just don't see the Republicans letting Palin on the show. They won't even let her sit in on normal interviews, let alone loose her upon a show that's skewered her week after week. If they're smart, they'll keep her as hidden as possible.
But hey, stranger things have happened. By the way, McCain also was on the show as recently as last season during the primaries, if I recall.

Sep 23rd 2008 9:37PM Well, you can also use the HD-DVD player for, you know, playing HD-DVDs. It's not like the content that's available for crazy cheap now suddenly stops being good - it's not a quart of milk. If you've got one, cruise the bargain shelves, ebay, or the rest of the Internet for cheap HD-DVDs. There are hundreds of great titles out there! Why not use the equipment you already own and get cheap content for it?
...that said, I'm pining for more HD movies, and have *gasp* been seriously considering going to the dark side and grabbing a PS3 lately.... if only it didn't cost an arm and half a leg :(
