Oct 30th 2009 12:37PM This is why I do not buy products like iPod or Kindle from companies like Sony and Amazon that require you source your data from them, or convert it into their proprietary format so they control the data once you own it. Using .mp3 and.pdf formats allow you to move your data from today's fad machine to tomorrow's next hot thing without getting permission from the manufacturer. Just like I moved my record collection from vinyl to cassette, to CD, to mp3. I bought the album. Pid the manufacturer and hopefully the artist. And it is now mine to enjoy.... regardless of the format.

Oct 12th 2009 11:09AM My old 160 gig 504 had all sorts of problems. Actually went through three different units until I got one that kinda worked. Then after spending several phone calls working with the tech support people we found a fatal flaw in the firmware. Once that was cleaned up it has worked well since. And after all the hassle - - they gave me a second 160 gig unit and the camera to boot. My wife and I love them!

We all empty our garages, go to the nearest drive-in movie lot, sell our stuff and send the proceeds to the director of the largest banking institution. Maybe a bribe of that level will distract them from raping the economy long enough for the "stimulus" to kick in.
Oh, that and all of the money I will be spending on popcorn so I can watch all my movies.
