Intel's 32nm Clarkdale CPUs moved up to Q4, a full year ahead of AMD? {Engadget}

Jun 30th 2009 9:16AM As someone who uses computers for heavy scientific computational tasks, media center, and of course playing Crysis/Left for Dead etc, I really really wonder what this will gain over the i7. The bottlenecks are GPU and i/o related along with software optimization to use 4-8 threads.

These new chips are incredible for $225. I just feel like we need to wait for the rest of the components to be cheaper, faster so the system is more balanced. Once this happens developers may use the cores effectively.

Jan 19th 2009 11:40AM My 360 experience in downtown Chicago WITH DSL 6mbit (SBC Elite $35 package) is superb.

Buffering is seconds, always 4 bars. One time I had a "re buffering" incident... not sure why.

I am connected tough a switch via Ethernet over CAT6 to the router.

Are people with problems on DSL or Cable? Comcast in Chicago is notorious for being blazing fast most of the time and painfully slow at 7pm. for brief moments.

Mitsubishi's Laser HDTV is named: LASERVUE? {Engadget HD}

Mar 19th 2008 10:13AM Because many people would love to have a thin, bright, true white true black TV that can sit on a TV stand no wider than their TiVO AND come in sizes over 60" (65,57,73 etc).

How many people actually "hang" their TV on the wall vs. putting it on a 17" stand? These TV's fit on the same stands as plasmas and LCDs. How long until LCD gets real blacks and 75" sets that don't cost $15k???
