BD+ DRM is now available for Blu-ray {Engadget HD}

Jun 21st 2007 12:57PM It really takes a specially mentally stunted person to site HD-DVD drm as the reason to get it over blueray.

BOTH formats have DRM. If HD-DVD TRUSTED it's users there would be NO drm. Plain and simple. 1 or 100 levels of drm DO NOT MATTER you are not trusted by either group. It just plain STUPID to say otherwise, I'm looking right at you xyzzy.

An extra level of drm won't be an issue for people making the dvd rippers. It will actually be a bit more fun. Since there are so few players right now and most can be software updated I don't sense this as being as big of an issues as the fact that
BLUERAY is now finalized. All players from here on out WILL be comatable and the studios can finally fully support the format.
