Jan 6th 2009 1:35PM lol HDDVD release is probably dirt cheap and available now... Glad I waited to find 20GB PS3 on eBay for cheap, slapped an old macbook 120GB drive in it.. Incidentally, I've had _Master & Commander_ freeze and _Wall-E_ refuse to play without rebooting, I though that was only a problem with dual-format HDDVDs :///
Porsche launches production of the Cayenne diesel {Autoblog Green}
Jan 2nd 2009 7:52PM Much better to find a hyper-boosted diesel with a ton of gears on a Porsche coupe if you ask me.. Talk to Gale Banks about the benefits of diesel for racing applications, at least when using modern turbos, modern DSG trans and modern common-rail tech.

Jan 2nd 2009 7:48PM I wonder how the interior space on these E-class cars compares to my 300SDL.. The limo-length S-classes are just fantastic for tall people, and the W126 is just about right as far as styling and features go.. (W126 era was when ABS and driver's airbag were first standard equipment.. 2-memory power _passenger_ seat.. All I miss is the buttwarmer :/)
Buffalo's wireless injunction stayed, now free to sell WiFi products in US {Engadget}
Dec 19th 2008 12:35PM Compared to Buffalo, ZyXEL are flaky and overpriced. However, they do have more flexibility in their offerings and better support DSL. My folks run a ZyXEL ADSL router with a PCMCIA card in it, and it's flakier than my Buffalo (which is crossed into a DOCSIS modem).
I don't see any reason to use ZyXEL unless you've got DSL and/or a significant discount on their gear.

I still have an WHR-HP54 as my router/dhcp/802.11g and it has been a champ for 3 years at least.. Even after I upgraded my home LAN to 802.11n via Airport Extreme base stations, I'm using the Buffalo as it's stable, allows me to go 5GHz N-only on the AEBSs, and has the MAC address of the Powerbook I used to authenticate with Commiecast (which has since been torn to shreds).
Looking forward to firmware updates!
Can using premium gas increase your efficiency? If so, is it worth it? {Autoblog Green}
Dec 15th 2008 9:47AM Yup, I recall filling the bike up at an olde style pump in eastern Oregon, very hilly, dusty terrain, glad I actually had cash!
Incidentally, for some reason which I can't fathom, in my state mid-grade gas is like 30-50 cents more per gallon, and premium is an additional 20-40 cents.. WTF?

Oct 17th 2008 5:53PM BTW, google 'diamo velux' for a canopy scooter that should still be available in the US.. Dunno if it's any good, apparently it's Chinese-built based on a licensed Benelli design..

Oct 17th 2008 5:46PM The BMW C1 looked hella pimp, and IIRC they released a 200-250cc model before they discontinued them.. They have one at Bob's BMW in MD on display, but I don't know if it's street legal..
(I kinda want one)
