GM completes Allison Transmission transition {Autoblog}
Aug 9th 2007 7:13PM Man a ford truck forum thinks little of an allison tranny.
Wow!
I have heard lots of negative things about both products over the years. Neither is immune to quality problems.
Snap! did you hear that another camshaft just went on
a tundra. Toyota must of caught some of that bad juju too.
Don't forget that ford is currently suing International the provider of their diesel engines because the last 6.0L was
so problematic.

The 6sp allison shone thru out.
The ford did win the 3/4ton cat. but not because of the trany.

Only after a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT was filed, and they owned up to it to avoid losing.
Just a reminder about the Pinto. Spend $20 to fix a
fuel tank that might kill people after an accident.
Or just keep the money.
Ford said let them burn.
American corporations are exactly white knights either.

Feb 15th 2007 9:42PM Well we all know why this law came in place. Common sense
is often a rare beast when people sit behind a wheel.
A member on the RCMP was killed while he had a car pulled over a
couple of years ago hence they brought in this law. They have
had this law next door in Saskatchewan (Sask.)for a few years
and I was wondering when it was going to come to Alberta.
They have a similar law for construction Zone where fines
are double.
It's getting so bad that now that on major routes where
there might be a vehicle over 10,000lbs and speeds over
30 mph that they wont allow you to take a left hand turn.
Only when the little green arrow is flash otherwise it red baby.
Because again some motorists saw the light changing
and turned left in to the path of a semi running the light @45mph.
And the semi should have stopped you know.
Next thing it will be mandatory to take a pee break.

Feb 11th 2007 4:36AM best cop cruiser that was ever made. The bubbles or
the later cruisers were too unreliable. I drove one
of these for about a year. Posi, with power window
which was very rare. And much better fuel mileage
than the fords.
POLL: Tell us what you think of Car and Driver's redesign {Autoblog}
Jan 30th 2007 5:15PM I still like Portable media. Kind you can stick in
your back pocket. I think Road and Track got the best redesign. Images are larger because the magazine is now bigger. Always prefered C&d's writing over R&D thou.
After 27 years of buying C&D every month with out even looking to see what was inside this month I did peruse it first and decided not to buy it.
I like the online content but it's strong point is it
immediacy. Hard to beat them for car shows. But I prefer Periodicals as they still have more depth. This cant be said for photo magazines. Photography related sites are head and shoulders above their print counterparts.
VW Eos flubbs USA Today review by not starting {Autoblog}
Jan 24th 2007 7:30PM This car was placed in the hands of a reviewer that
millions of people will read. I would definitely make sure that the car was bullet-proof. Wax the oil pan and vacumn the tires.
What if this had came off the showroom floor instead
of the showhall floor? It still speaks negatively of
the company.
Bye the way I love the eos. Best implimented folding tin can roof yet. Love the sunroof.
But all that bad press about reliability bothers me.

answers after watching this. What's RC forging? NC?
is that like cnc? Why is that done?
