PowerGenix NiZn rechargeable AA batteries: finally, some cells worth buying {Engadget}

Nov 9th 2009 12:05PM Hey, Engadget!

You failed to mention how long it takes to recharge these batteries. What was your experience?

iTunes 9.0.2 is out, Apple TV 3.0 as well, and they love each other {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 29th 2009 4:42PM Can someone tell me if you can play an iPhoto slideshow with movies (from a camera that runs H.264) on the Apple TV with 3.0? As far as I know, you couldn't before.

Google adds free turn-by-turn navigation, car dock UI to Android 2.0 (video) {Engadget}

Oct 28th 2009 12:33PM I think there is still a chance this could come out for iPhone, blackberry, etc. Google's main source of income is not Android. Its Advertising, and that is how they can afford to give this away free. So what would be more profitable? Android being the only one with free turn by turn software and a little ad income from there, or most Smartphones on the planet with free turn by turn software providing a significant amount of income?

Ten Queen tracks coming to Rock Band later this month {Joystiq}

Oct 2nd 2009 3:34PM Yeah, but Singstar expansions suck. Its a separate disc, when they could just have easily offered this stuff on the SingStore and I could use one disc to play all the SingStar music I have. It just makes Sony look money hungry at the cost of useability. Kinda sad actually.

TomTom car kit for iPhone will run $120 {Engadget}

Sep 28th 2009 7:33PM @Will: Well it may be $2000 over 2 years but thats no different than any other smart phone. Its the same for an android or pre or whatever.

Apple TV gains hard disk capacity, loses weighty price {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Sep 14th 2009 11:50AM Another problem is that you can't sync movies from iPhoto into your Apple TV. So if you have an iPhone 3GS and you take some videos, you can sync it to your computer into iPhoto, but not to your Apple TV. Kinda strange. Please fix it Apple?

Xbox 360 officially the only console to stream Netflix -- sorry, PS3 and Wii {Engadget}

Aug 11th 2009 12:57PM I would care more if I didn't already have a TiVo.

MacBook Pro update rights the wrong, enables 3Gbps SATA transfers {Engadget}

Jun 23rd 2009 11:25AM They are saying it is no longer limited to 1.5 gbps. They are saying they cannot promise it will work up to the theoretical 3.0 Gbps. This is similar to how no company guarentees WiFi netoworks to actually run at the theoretical maximum even though they state the number on the front of the box. I'm not sure apple is special in that way regarding the SATA speed.
