Turbo HD
shenanigans aside,
DISH Network's latest press release touts its exclusive -- nationwide -- carriage of MSNBC HD, conveniently sidestepping Cablevision and Time Warner customers that have had the channel since launch last month. Still, if you enjoy
Morning Joe and the rest of the
MSNBC lineup in high definition and are a Classic Silver 200 or higher subscriber it should be in your lineup as of yesterday, though we suppose you're probably more interested in finding out if your DVR will continue to work.

MSNBC HD looks Beautiful. Bye CNN, it was nice while I knew ya.
ShadowGod @ Jul 9th 2009 2:03PM
The most Liberal-biased news organization now in HD! Awesome!

Chris Mathews in HD? No thanks.

Maybe you'll be able to see the thrills and shivers running up his leg when the messiah speaks.
Although I'm not sure that's worth paying to see...

Why would I wonder if my DVD is going to work?

We still don't get the SD version on Verizon FIOS in North Jersey, but at least we got a handful of new HD channels last weekend, including Comedy Central, MTV, Spike, VH1, and CMT. Not sure why EngadgetHD hasn't reported it, despite my emailing them the news.

Great, that loudmouth Beltway hack Matthews in HD and still no AMC (Breaking Bad) in HD. WTF, Dish Network? WTF?
Seriously, nobody cares about having the commentary channels in HD. A rich, fat, white man with an entitlement complex telling you who to hate does not come across any better in HD than in SD.
Give us some real channels Dish, ones that matter, and if you need the bandwidth, drop Fox.
squiggleslash @ Jul 10th 2009 7:58AM
Er, Fox News that is. Do not drop Fox the network!
Money Mike @ Jul 10th 2009 9:02AM
Please don't suggest the idea of dropping ANY channels in HD... for any provider. I've waited patiently for everything I now get on FIOS and I don't want any of them getting the idea that dropping channels would be acceptable. You may hate Fox News, but I think Bill O'Reilly is hilarious. I love tuning in occasionally to see him making an ass out of himself. I would not watch if there was no HD channel because I'm already used to it.
In fact, I'm almost finally at the point where I have no SD channels in my favorites. I just need the HD versions of E, MSG, MTV2, and BET to complete my set.
squiggleslash @ Jul 10th 2009 5:18PM
Hey, I don't like any of them, I just think Fox is the worst of the bunch... and does anyone out there, left, liberal, or right, "like" Chris Matthews?
Nick Catalano @ Jul 10th 2009 5:03PM
Time Warner didn't have it at launch and IIRC still doesn't have it
This month sometime
