Samsung's 2009 HDTV lineup gets priced early
While Samsung should confirm / deny all of this on Tuesday, those who simply can't wait to crunch the numbers over the weekend while they're already hammering out the 2008 taxes need look no further. The HDGuru has discovered MSRPs from Samsung's absolutely gigantic 2009 line of LCD and plasma HDTVs, and he'll be adding more as they flow in. Hit the read link to get an idea of what you'll be forced to fork out when these ship out in the not-too-distant future, but don't blow that tax refund all in one place, okay Sonny Boy?

I'd guess they'd have to price them as the 6000 and 7000 TVs are in stores now.

The prices have been available for a while if you went onto some retail website which had them available via pre-order. Now that they're appearing in ads around the country Samsung is pushing to get more press for them. Hence this pricing "leaking early" and their recent press release announcing their LED HDTVs, and retailers like Frys giving away Blu-ray players to people who buy these televisions.
Samsung definitely is aggressive.

I'm not hearing or reading about what Samsung will do regards on their sets. Nor am I hearing/reading of a matte/non-reflective screen option... and the glossy screens they all seem to be selling now-a-days has me keeping my current LCD HD for quite a while...

Ummm, those have been in Best Buy for weeks. This is not news.

From reading the article, the A950 series from 2008 have local LED control where as all 2009 series HDTVs just use LEDs for general backlighting to save energy, but not for attempting to produce super blacks.
