HustlerHD launching May 1st: no SD upconverted material

Last summer, Hustler TV and Digital Playground banged out a deal to get the latter company's content on the former's network. Now, all of that is about to get a lot more intriguing to fans of said material and high-definition. Hustler TV has just announced the outfit's forthcoming high-def broadcast service: HustlerHD. Slated to go live on May 1st, the service will not broadcast a single moment of content that's just upconverted standard-def material. Instead, every title will be "filmed, edited and broadcast in true HD." Additionally, HustlerHD will be the exclusive home to shows from HD-producing studios including Digital Playground, Hustler Video and Zero Tolerance.

It's only going to take a couple of decades to kill SD for ads and most broadcast TV. I already ignore SD-only channels. It's just too horrible to watch.
SD is nice for viewing on a computer though (in a window). Decent resolution there!

Good. If they're working with Digital Playground we know there will be some great content. Pervs unite...then again, most of hardcore pervs don't pay for our perv material anyhow...and we stockpile it like the apocalypse is coming.

Sheesh - now I feel for all those wanting an iPhone-free feed. I use to like to read this blog at work, but don't think I need to get fired for this kind of content showing up in my history. Well done, Engadget, you're joining the ranks of blogs with no fresh content so they decide to push porn to generate a few clicks.
