Just under a year ago, we
heard that the relatively unknown Cavalier (bizarre slogan and all) was looking to make a dent in the Hampton Roads, Virginia TV market. Not sure what all went wrong there, but now it's looking to television mainstay
DirecTV to help it get things off the ground. The company will be offering locals the shot at a Triple Play package, with the high-speed internet and digital phone service coming directly from Cavalier and the TV service coming from DirecTV. We're told that this C3 bundle could save customers upwards of $240 per year compared to similar packages, but we'd definitely call 'em up and run the numbers before jumping in blind.

I had Cavalier Telephone in MD.
Took them a month and a half to come actually install the service, and it was horrible, with constant dropped calls.

I've had them for over 5 years - consistent speed on the internet of nearly 10Mbps and reasonable priced phone service. I pay just around $70 for unlimited phone and internet.

Cavalier sucks. Their VOIP services constantly drops out because you can't be on the computer and the phone at the same time apparently, and worse, they're nothing but crooks who try to alter contracts after the fact and screw their customers out of more money. I had a business phone line contract with them that just was never worth the money they charged for it, and when I switched service they contacted me two and a half years later to let me know I had violated the terms of my "five year contract" and owed them $1000. The contract I signed had no specific term of service on it, but they added that in after I sent it back to them! They went to court and got a judgment against me without even serving me papers to advise me of a court date. When I produced the original contract and threatened to counter-sue, they suddenly dropped the case. I would never recommend Cavalier as your phone or internet service provider. Nothing but crooks.
