It just makes sense, doesn't it? Outdoor mounts for outdoor TVs! Pantel, which has grown in popularity thanks to its ability to crank out televisions which are immune to rain / Kool-Aid / etc., has just announced that it will soon launch its line of weatherized outdoor flat panel mounting solutions and accessories. Users looking for a matching mount to pair up with their waterproof set can find a variety of options including a ceiling mount stand ($749.00), wall mount stand ($499.99), mobile floor stand ($999.99), a floor mount stand ($949.99) and a table top stand ($349.99 to $1,499.99). Hey, we never said they'd be cheap, just that they'd last a while.

Waste of money...............You have to be a complete moron to spend this much money for a "weather resistant stand'. Yeah I always like to take the hose to my flat screen outside. Maybe this stand will protect it?

Yes, this is a ripoff. You could actually get these custom fabricated for less than those prices.
However, the picture above is *exactly* what I've been looking for for indoor use, except that from looking at the base and the stresses that would be put on that if bolted to an arbitrary surface, I'd say that this pic is upside down and it's actually a ceiling mount.

I do not even keep my bike outdoors and they want a $2000 hdtv outdoors?! Maybe it is for the thieves to relax, and watch David Letterman first, before braking your back door.
