My friend that has charter in WI pays $80 or so for his 10mb connection, so based off of that $140 would be cheap compared to the $300 or so they will probably charge...

You can get the 50 Mbps FIOS speeds at a lot less than $140/month... in competitive areas. So bring on more competition, Charter!

I get Charter's 16MB internet for $34.99. It's all about the CSR and what they feel like.

I know its coming to the Atlanta area here soon according to a local rep. If memory serves price was going to be in the $140 - $150 range.

60Mbps... haha. I live in Japan and standard internet speeds are 100Mbps for as cheap as $40 a month. My buddy pays around $50 for 1,000Mbps. Take a hard drive over to his place and download from newsgroups at over 5 MB/s

Charter may not have "shut-off" caps per se, but a few months back when I was using usenet after about three days straight of self throttled downloads the speeds would drop off for a couple of days.
