Klipsch intros HD Theater 300 / 500 / 1000 5.1 speaker systems
Klipsch isn't exactly known for hovering around in the bargain bin, but given the current worldwide economic situation, it's pumping out a new trio of 5.1-channel speaker systems that are quite affordable given the specs. Starting at the low-end, we've got the HD Theater 300 (shipping in April), which packs mid-range surrounds (2.5-inch woofers and a 0.75-inch MicroTractrix Horn-loaded textile tweeter in each) alongside a down-firing 6.5-inch subwoofer. Moving on up, there's the HD Theater 500 (shipping in March), which swaps in an aluminum dome tweeter in the surrounds and an 8-inch subbie. The top-end HD Theater 1000 (shipping next month) includes 8.6-inch tall surrounds that support wall mounting and a 10-inch earth shaker. As for prices? Try $399.99, $599.99 and $899.99 in order of mention.

I like my Quintet III series with 10" subwoofer paired up with my Onkyo 606. Sound isn't super awesome, but great with my hdtv setup, and miles better than my old solution.
Good move to price lower, as I predict more people will be going with sound bar solutions with their flat panels. It will help keep them competitive, esp since those prices are probably 50% more than what most will find when they're on sale. ;)

Your sound is better than literally 99% of the systems out there!
At least your center channel does not use a $0.25 paper cone driver the size and weight of an Oreo cookie.

I have a Onkyo 806 hooked up to the Quintet III Speakers, but am using a older sub I got from COSTCO. I'm thinking of replacing the Sub with the SUB-10. Personally right now it sounds great. I got the 806 for the 5 HDMI Inputs otherwise it's a little overkill, but what the hell, I like all the features.

I got my sub-10 on sale at HHGreg in Indy for $200-250 on Black Friday, so it can be had for similar. (either this or the Qiii's were 250, the other 200). It's pretty solid....and heavy.
Sounds great, esp in the smallish room with wood floors where I have my setup. That downfacing speaker really rumbles the house. ;)
