R.I.P. Monsters HD - October 2003 - January 2009
Surviving long after its removal from DISH Network as an online offering, Monsters HD has finally succumbed. Fangoria Online's revealed that it, unlike bloggers, could not survive on the Internet alone. That shouldn't stop you from heading over and checking out a few classic horror flicks for free in high definition, so punch the read link to see Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Jeepers Creepers and others but by the end of this month it will all be over.

Nooooo!
This was easily one of my favorite channels in the Voom HD line up that Dish offered. I was sad when Dish dropped Voom out of the blue and it's even worse news that one of the most unique, niche channels is off to the graveyard (pun intended).

I never would have discovered the Sleepaway Camp series without this channel

Cablevision didn't drop Monsters HD. Monsters HD ceased operations in the U.S.
You can't get it (or any of the other VOOM HD networks) on any system anymore.
I thought it was a great channel too.
The only 2 horror channels left are Chiller (which Cablevision quietly added recently) and FEARnet, which is a VOD only network.
Chiller, which aside from being in SD, isn't too compelling. They seem to program the same thing over and over.
FEARnet has a decent selection with new titles added every week, but they only have a fraction of HD titles, plus I don't get it on Cablevision.

Cablevision OWNED and RAN VOOM which owned and ran Monsters HD.
So Cablevision blows.
