You know that nifty little "
Watch in HD" option that came to
YouTube a few months back for high-def content uploaded to the world's most well known video sharing portal? After a minor update to your
VUDU box -- which hit the tubes this past Friday -- your movie set-top-box should now select that option automatically when
viewing HD YouTube material. Hey, we told you it was minor, but satisfactory nonetheless.

I just got a Vudu a week ago...I have to say, it's pretty slick. I watch 480p on a X1 projector on a 70" diagonal screen. Their "SD" is dvdish quality, and their hd/hdx is really nice. If you have a 4mbit broadband connection, I'd say wait for the next sale (I paid $99) and go for it.

I unplugged my vudu box when I noticed how much upstream bandwidth it was consuming on my bband connection EVEN WHEN I AM NOT USING IT AT ALL. My average upload usage went from around 1GB (download is in the 40GB normally) to over 45GB per month and that was for two months when I didn't even use the box!!!! Disconnected it and voila! Back to normal.
Sneaky bastards!!!!!!
