Comcast brings a fresh trio to Philadelphia, PA
While citizens in the Philly suburbs of Willow Grove / Montgomery and Bucks Counties received these three last month, Comcast decided to wait awhile before bestowing them upon the residents of Philadelphia proper. As of now, USA HD, Discovery HD and SciFi HD have all been added, and if you're parked in the City of Brotherly Love, you can find 'em on slots 222, 224 and 226, respectively. Comcast Launches Three New Networks in the City of Philadelphia
Philadelphia, January 15, 2009 – Comcast Cable today announced the addition of new high-definition (HD) programming choices for its customers in the City of Philadelphia. USA HD, Discovery HD and Sci Fi HD join Comcast's extensive line-up of HD programming, which currently delivers more than 1,000 HD choices that are instantly available to customers any time of the day or night.
"We consistently hear from our customers that they can't get enough high-definition programming, and we continue to deliver more HD content than any other provider," said Amy Smith, regional senior vice president of Comcast's Freedom Region serving the Philadelphia Metro area and New Jersey. "Whether it's movies, sports, network shows or other programming, we will bring HD to our customers the way they want to watch it – live or on their own schedule."

What do you mean? This is *great* news for people who love it when their HD looks like VHS if there is a modicum of action on the screen! Why so serious?

Still no SPEED HD or FX HD. Thank goodness for Animal fucking Planet HD!

No love for MDU (apt building/condo) Comcast customers in Philadelphia. We're now TEN (10) HD channels behind the rest of the city. And yet we pay the say price? What gives Comcast??!!

Interesting thing about Comcast and Philly.... Even though Comcast is Headquarted in Philly, and they have such a huge presence in Philly (even trying desperate to keep FIOS out of the city), they only have 37 HD channels. That's quite a shame considering there's a few Comcast area's with 50, 60 and close to 70 HD channels (eh hem... Chicago, Boston, and parts of New England region)...
The Philly systems are Comcast's bastard child. The long lost forgotten systems that they should be ashamed of (and most likely are).
I'm in the Central PA region and we had these channels added at the end of Feb. 2008. Yes about a whole year ago. While my region isn't any better (36 HD channels here), Comcast needs to work on it's channel lineup consistency, and update that archaic piece of crap on screen guide. COMCAST, ARE YOU LISTENING?

Just as suprised as you I live in Delaware, and I've had those fo ages, just got speedhd added to the lineup

I would be happy with the Philly lineup. Comcast in central NJ (Union) has a joke of an HD lineup. That is 26 possible HD channels....and the HBO, Showtime, Starz, Cinemax and NFL HD channels are subscription based! I would kill for the Philly channel lineup and hope and pray that someday soon, my complex will be wired for FIOs since they announced last summer Verizon would be installing upgraded fiber optics last summer!

giufrra316, the lineup that u posted is incorrect. I am in Woodbridge, also serviced by Comcast of Union. The lineup is actually:
196 - MSG
197 - MSG +
198 - SNY
...
206 - VS HD
207 - Golf HD
..
for a paltry total of up to 27HD channels.
