This doesn't really mean anything other than the device now has the option to encapsulate the video+audio in a VOB container, which the PS3 supports for H264 video and AC3 5.1 audio.

what's up dude! The HD PVR allows users to record HDTV from any STB/DVR/PS3/BD Player from the Component Connectors and SPDIF.
It's captured in AVCHD (h264+ac3) .m2ts format...which is spec compatible with any Blue-Ray player...including the PS3.

chk it: Capture and Archive all your HD TV/Movies on your PC...and then play them back on the PS3.
Now, WHO ELSE CAN DO THIS ???
