There's always the old reliable of just playing the same content and having a private chat over live.
It's true, in 50 years we haven't advanced a day from housewives talking over the party line while watching soaps.

Watching TV while chatting w/friends can already be experienced here http://miiTV.com - watch CNN or Bloomberg TV live while chatting or posting to facebook - guess what, it's free!

Well, Hava is a great device...except for not being able to use it as a capture device for social applications. I myself and a lot of my cohorts are looking forward to being able to webcast our XBOX play.
