What's the point of a portable device if you have to tether it to an ethernet cable. Come to think of it, why arent other players (except for the PS3) offering wifi? It seems like a very obvious feature.

DrXym

Comments on Panasonic makes it official: Profile 2.0 DMP-B15 portable Blu-ray player

With over 100 BD movies in my collection now, I'd definitely consider this if the price were right. I've been using my Portable DVD player significantly less since I got into Blu-ray.

As for 2.0 features, I've barely used them on my player as it is. If this were $200 I'd get one for sure and get rid of my portable DVD player.

Useless? Ignore the screen size. Portable DVD players are lesser quaility than regular DVD players. Portable means you can watch a movie on the go without lugging a TV with you. So the screen's small. It's not having to also buy a DVD copy of the same movie just so you can play it anywhere other then your home system.
If the price is right, great, but I'm looking at it and $500 is popping into my head. Well OK $499.
It would be even better with built in Wifi, and a Digital OTA tuner to watch HDTV on it when out with this thing also. Why not!! Hell make more use of the Wifi and add in Netflix movie streaming also. With all that, a $499 price is starting to look a little better.

JBDragon

Comments on Panasonic makes it official: Profile 2.0 DMP-B15 portable Blu-ray player

Yes its about time.
