Less than 1 year since there was a clear HD format. So in reality the clock started when HD DVD stopped muddying the picture. Why do you insist that Blu-ray must overtake DVD faster than HDTV overtakes SD? Blu-ray should lag HDTV adoption until at least for a while.
Right now HDTV's under your definition is a niche market but do you honestly think it will stay that way?
