I mean, c'mon, this is Toshiba! They're EHD's whipping boy! Murph has posted story after story after story criticizing Toshiba's lack of support for Blu-ray, even though it's fairly obvious why a company that just lost $1B on pushing an HD optical format that sees online downloads as the future isn't going to make a Blu-ray player right now.<br><br>If EHD doesn't want to be criticized for being stupid, it needs to stop being stupid. This is a good thing. People are claiming its useless since there isn't any 2160p content yet. Well, there still really isn't any 1080p broadcasts yet. Its still only 720p/1080i correct? Only now have a few companies started giving 1080p movies etc...<br><br>Yes technically true 2160p would look better than upscaled to 2160p, however saying its pointless or whatever is stupid. Granted it wont be as noticeable a difference as upscaling from 480p to 1080p, going from 1080p to 2160p will be an improvement. Remember where this is happening at. IT IS CES. This is where future tech is displayed. The Cell TV prototype tech will go great with my 100 inch HDTV in 3-5 years when they don't cost a car to buy. Plus you can watch several HD programming on the same screen.
