I got HD over the summer and my wife and I were blown away by how good Nickelodeon (esp., Spongebob) looked. AMC, and the other free movie channels, would be a welcome plus in HD. IFC especially, as it frequently has the kind of movies you really want to see the higher definition for. (Never sure why people here think fast paced action movies benefit from HD. They don't. Motion = blur. But movies with scenes of exotic locales - now that's where HD just pays for itself.)
