Hulu comes to XBMC

If you've been dying to get Hulu integrated into your HTPC and the Boxee experience isn't your cup of tea, now you can give the Boxee's older cousin, XBMC, a whirl. Hit the link for details on how to get rolling, and lest you blanche at the idea of retrieving the latest XBMC source from Subversion, there's a merciful link to a compiled installer. After getting your XBMC install squared away, simply add a script and away you go! Based on the one comment in the link, it sadly sounds like Xbox 360 owners might not be able to join in on the fun just yet; but if you give this one a go, let us know how things pan out.

I'v been waiting for this all year, i thought for sure boxee would go public before they added this feature to xbmc but am loving XBMC more and more everyday. Open Source all the way baby.

Glad to see this out. I've never really been sure whether to "trust" Boxee, for an "open source" project they certainly create a lot of barriers to use. This makes me want to try XBMC. Let's hope plug-ins for other online services are coming too.

xbmc is only for xbox, why would the 360 work?

I don't think it was your intent to mislead anyone, but just for clarification, xbmc runs on the original XBOX, as well as Linux, Windows, Mac (intel) and AppleTV, and a "live" bootable version.

You can get Hulu and youtube and CBS, and others using PlayON! installed on your PC and your XBox 360 Networked to your PC. Works great. Works for the PS3 also. Stream Netflix on your PS3 if you like, you can on the 360 this way also, but since it's built in and better, no need.
