Most people I know with flat panel TVs still have them sitting on a stand or in an entertainment center.

They need to focus on making them cheap, making them quality, and making them look good. Everything else is just details.

DavidV

Comments on Displays to match pocketbooks with thinning profiles, says DisplaySearch

I agree 100%. Once you get to just a couple inches thick, anything less seems pretty pointless to me (especially with the large bases most have if they are not hung on the wall). I'll be excited when I can wallpaper my house with micro thin OLED screens, but untill then they should really focus on something else.

madgamer

Comments on Displays to match pocketbooks with thinning profiles, says DisplaySearch

Thin is cool, but unless the TV can sit on the wall magnetically, it doesn't matter. DavidV has it right, make the pictures better make them more affordable, hell even make them SOUND better, I'm looking at you samsung, and I'll be a happy camper. You know what would be nice is if they were LIGHTER, yea, lighter than they are now, then you'll impress me, I wanna be able to pick up a 50" screen myself.

jay

Comments on Displays to match pocketbooks with thinning profiles, says DisplaySearch

I also cannot understand this whole slim tv thing. Unless it's really thin and light... so like I wouldn't have to use a expensive wall mount, I could use a picture hanger... then I'm not too worried.

And yes, cheaper, with better pictures. I personally think the hertz stuff is total garbage, it makes me motion sick, so I can't watch it.

Dan S
