A mature market compared to an early adopters market.
Is anyone supposed to be surprised by this?
It's just another reason why Blu-ray is staying small minority niche.
(along with 'the' big one - as reported recently here on EngadetHD - of really poor HD TV market penetration - running between 24% - 34% in the USA alone)
You missed the important fact that BR is three times as expensive to press than DVD--that's why I went directly from HD-DVD to Vudu--BR is a Rube Goldberg step that should be skipped entirely.
