I mentioned how it was not available in all areas and he said they went overbudget. Perhaps they gotta find a way to pay for that? Pass the the cost on to customers and its a win win situation, especially if you're stuck in a 1 to 2-year service agreement.

J3ST3R

Comments on AT&T pushing up some U-verse TV prices in February 2009

U-verse do NOT have any contracts. Not necessarily for Uverse but for someone like Time Warner. Why is it $100+ for cable and internet? Yeah, that includes a DVR and HD channels, so what? Isn't a DVR basically a standard device by now? Just like the old cable box with the channel + - and volume + - keys eventually became? Stop cramming cable with a bunch of bull shit channels and give people what they ask for. More is not always more. I can scroll through 500 channels of junk just so they can invent a reason to charge me $100.

Matt

Comments on AT&T pushing up some U-verse TV prices in February 2009

Typical. I have U-verse right now, and this among other reasons is why I'm about to ditch it. The HD compression is the biggest reason though. HD channels look like crap, and SD look even worse than normal. I can't take it. For what I'm paying it should be better. I'm going back to cable. As much as I loathe Comcast, at least the final product on my screen looks better.

Scott
