Top 10 HD sports broadcasts of 2008 -- do you agree?
We know, they're essentially meaningless in the grand scheme of things, but there's something about these "top lists" that just warms our hearts. Arlen Schweiger over at Electronic House took a long, hard look back at all the sports he consumed over the course of this year in order to compile a best-of-the-best list for HD content. We don't want to give away any spoilers before you give the read link a visit, but let's just say "Texas tips Oklahoma," "Giants Freeze Packers" and "Celtics Return to Glory" are scattered about in there somewhere. And while we're on the subject, what's your top 10 high-def sports list of 2008?

Really? No Champions League Final? It was a classic match with the most exciting penalty shootout I've ever seen. Red Devils til I die!

Can't speak for the broadcast but the Red River Rivalry game this year (UT-OU) was by far the best sporting event I ever saw live. There's nothing like Dallas RRR weekend. Too bad it didn't matter for much in the end. Hook Em

It probably could have been a coinflip between the superbowl and memphis-kansas for No. 1 and 2 if I were going just on the game itself -- those were immense. I was taking the audio and video and environment into account too, so when it came to NFL broadcasts, I thought the giants-packers, and even the packers-seahawks in the snow, we're cooler to experience in HD.

2 more weather affected HD games I would include is Florida State survives UM rally in the tropical flash thunderstorm and UConn beats Temple in a low scoring, TS Hanna game.

Red Wings/Penguins Game 5 Triple Overtime should have been up there.
Even game 6 was amazing.
