Best Buy to sell exclusive Joker mask figurine with The Dark Knight
Just when you had your buying plans for December 9th all sealed up, in flies this to totally shake 'em up. As if there won't be enough options out there for snapping up The Dark Knight early next month, Best Buy has announced that it will sell an exclusive Collector's Edition DVD and Blu-ray packaged with a Joker mask figurine. From what we can tell, everything else (movie wise, anyway) will be the same, but an expected price premium has yet to be disclosed. Aw, did we just cause you to cancel an existing pre-order? Why so serious?

To bad they are charging $39.99 on bestbuy.ca here in Canada. Rather stick with the steelbook version from Futureshop.ca $32.99

What the crap is that? That's not even close to the joker. That's some stupid clown mask.
Chris @ Nov 25th 2008 10:47AM
Um, did you see the movie?
LiqwidZero @ Nov 25th 2008 10:47AM
I take it that you haven't even watched the movie yet, eh?
If you have watched the movie, you would remember the awesome opening scene.

You "Bozos" take a look at this:

Now, to not confuse you, it's the one on the right.
Does Heath Ledger's Joker look anything like this joker of a mask?
No.
Who wants a mask commemorating one of the sidekicks of the Joker?
daaper @ Nov 25th 2008 5:13PM
While I agree with you that I wouldn't want a piece of "sidekick" memorabilia, you did make it sound like you had no idea that this was from the movie. I think the reason they chose this instead of the Joker is because this actually is a mask in the movie, while the Joker is paint on a human face. This was probably a lot easier to make because it doesn't have to look life-like, as a face would.

Do guys even pay even the most remote amount of attention when watching movies? The "sidekick" wearing that mask in the opening scene WAS THE JOKER. I mean there was a close up of the Joker's face, as he was taking the thing off in front of your very eyes, on a gigantic brightly lit screen in a very dark room. Was that still too subtle for you? You must be the retards who can't go two minutes without texting, completely oblivious to the world around you.

Well if its anything like the other Best Buy "Exclusive" figures (generally masks) it'll be a piece of junk, I've seen several of these exclusives and they are nothing more than prettied up plastic with a premium price.
Curtis @ Nov 25th 2008 5:35PM
For you guys that obviously haven't seen the movie, the Joker wears this mask in one scene. Here's a pic:

No thanks Best Buy, just give me the DVD.

Oh my god, this proves that retarded people make comments without knowing anything. This proves that people comment on crap they do not know about and pass it on as if they are right. Yes its mean what I am writing in regards to Eric, but people like him need to know their role and be queit. Anyways... I still like the Batpod over this.
Garst @ Nov 25th 2008 11:55PM
That thing is creppy. I might not have seen that movie, but I can tell you there's nothing that could make me want that.
