Humongous LED display at Walgreens in Times Square gets detailed
For those who've found themselves strolling through Times Square the past few days, you've probably seen the absolutely impossible-to-miss LED display board that was just recently lit up. The folks over at DailyDOOH were able to go check out the official launch, and it also did us the favor of hosting up a few pictures and providing all the juicy details behind the monolithic board. It sits 15 feet off of the ground and rises some 340 feet into the air, and within the sign are 13 interconnected plasma screens showing off coordinated content. Check the read link for even more amazing specs / images.

Pretty tacky. Ummm... what about Walgreens going green? This is leaving a Sasquach-size carbon footprint. Plus it costs bazillions of dollars to put up and maintain, while Walgreens is talking about massive corportae restructuring which is sure to include job layoffs. I'll bet the employees are less than thrilled about this

Actually, I am thrilled with it. I work there and we've been hiring new people ever week. Also, I quite impressed with their benefit package for us and how easy it is to work your way up in this company. Most of their management and CEO's started their careers at Walgreens as cashiers. It's really amazing.

I like it. It's very eye-catching. It's nice that they are able to provide much needed jobs for alot of people during these hard economic times.
