Humax's 320GB Freesat+ Foxsat-HDR now on sale
Humax told us that its awfully cute 320GB Freesat+ Foxsat-HDR would be on sale this month, and sure enough, it's filtering into quality retailers across the UK. According to T3, users looking for "free" high-def via Freesat+ can waltz on into John Lewis, Comet, Argos or Dixons in order to trade £299 for the box you see pictured above. From there, you'll also need to grab a dish, an HDTV and an installer, but those are just details, right?

£299 is still a lot but the exchange rate has moved in my favour so I'll be keeping my eye out for one.

Since you mentioned exchange rate, I'll assume you are in North America in which case I have to ask, what would you do with it? There is no free HD Satellite TV here. Just get a Digital antenna and enjoy all the free PBS HD your heart desires, but a box like that is useless for HD here. Shopping channels, Nasa channel, Religious channels, a few locals in SD and Al Jazera English would be all your gonna find for free in our skies.

I live in the Euro zone so that's what I was referring to. The pound was worth something like 1.45 euros not long ago and now its down to 1.18. A 20% off discount in effect when I buy something from the UK.
