AMD's Maui HTPC platform now on sale
HTPC-centric motherboards aren't exactly everywhere these days, so we figured it prudent to pass along this heads-up. AMD's flexible Maui platform is now on sale, bringing with it a low-power Phenom or Athlon X2 processor, an AMD 780-series (or higher) IGPU, an ATI TV tuner and AMD's Live media center software elements. Reviews from buyers have been generally positive thus far, and you can snag one now for $189.99.

I love the concept, all the video and audio outputs built onto the motherboard instead of trying to source different pci cards wasting valuable TV Tuner slots on the motherboard.
Someone needs to do this for Atom/Socket 775.

I don't think it will handle bluray well. The videocard on this stinks, you'll still need to upgrade your videocard if you want to get good playback and even better color.

Why not just build the HTPC with a microATX? Most of which are WAY WAY cheaper and WAY WAY BETTER!

Actually, it will handle blu ray just fine. I have one of these already and it does BD without any skipping, stuttering or anything else. Flawless playback with great color saturation and crystal clear video. The audio on this is awesome, way better than traditional PC audio.
This board is great for HTPC. Great I/O connectivity, great video, great audio, that is why you would use this.
Sure there are other basic PC platforms out there, but none that are addressing the market needs like this one.

MSI's website says;
"• Support ATI® OCUR and Blu-ray Playback "
Does this mean bios support for ATI's digital cable card tuner, and thus, we can build our own HTPCs with cablecard support?

Yea, with their external USB Cable CARD Tuner. Internal Cable CARD Tuners require Microsoft licensing and are reserved for OEM HTPC builders.
