Ever since they went to HD last winter, the technical aspects of their newcasts has become a joke, and tonight would be the joke of all jokes. Instead of going with the national NBC telecast, which there HAD to be as all the nation wouldn't want the local graphics, etc., WMAQ stayed with their digibeta cameras, which BLOW! Thankfully I was also recording ABC which had a gorgeous telecast, so they got my vote. For shame NBC5. The Brian Williams broadcast though was nice, but I kinda felt that the "virtual studios" were a little giniky.
