Long time Blockbuster Online customer, due to the fact that we could exchange movies in store and my boys loved picking out their own movies. But, with the recent goings on involving netflix and xbox360, we decided to give netflix a trial while still maintaining our BBO account. One day into our trial with Netflix and using the media center plugin vmcNetflix, we quickly cancelled blockbuster and I am now a Netflix Fanboy.
We were on Blockbuster for a while but then 1) we realized it had taken us exactly 4 months to watch every movie in our local store worth watching 2) They raised their prices (without adding any benefit) 3) Our store doesn't carry BluRay.
It is a close battle, but Netflix watch instantly has more movies worth watching (especially with STARZ now) than our Blockbuster store has, and is more convinient. Netflix could lose me, i'm not an out and out fanboy, but i've been very satisfied with the service, their pricing is still some of the best (on the low-end especially).
I'm also a long time BBO customer, and I'm going to switch to Netflix when it comes to 360 in a few weeks. I was mainly sticking with BBO because they carried HD-DVD movies when Netflix didn't, and getting new movies from the stores was very convenient. Now that I've watched everything that I wanted to see on HD-DVD, and with streaming coming to the 360, I see little reason to stick with BBO.
