San Antonio's
never short on HD channels from Time Warner Cable, but just in case locals in the area were getting fed up with the
oodles they
already have, here's another to keep you (or your kids, most likely) quiet. As of this week, Cartoon Network HD is being placed on slot 145, bringing the total HD channels in the region to 71 -- and that's not counting the 124 HD movie-on-demand channels and 337 HD free-on-demand titles. Can you detect a hint of bitterness? Sorry, we tried mightily to conceal it. [

I live in San Antonio and I think I'd rather hace Sci-Fi or USA in HD rather than Cartoon Network. How do they expect me to watch BSG in non-HD.
Also, we had USA HD for like 2 weeks during the Olympics then they took the channel off again.

I with you on the whole Sci-Fi HD/USA HD thing... come to think of it does any TWC market have the Sci-Fi HD channel?
Does the Bio HD channel have any HD programing at all? Enough to warrant being on the HD tier? While we're at it, the Golf HD and Outdoor HD.... really? Are the demographics really there for either of these over Sci-Fi HD or USA HD? Who me bitter? - nah

71 channels!?!? Why does TWC hate The Triangle so much? It's coming up on a full year since we had any real additions, isn't it?

Thats great to hear... so where are my new HD Channels here in NYC... the home of Time Warner???? Were seriously lacking in HD channels here in the big apple. I would love some HD Cartoon Network and get to watch the new animated starwars show in HD along with my beloved Venture Brothers ;)

On a related note, I just noticed that on the TWC-SA website, there's now a form you can fill out to "pre-order" a FREE tuning adapter!

Charlotte isn't much better than Raleigh either its been nearly a year since they added some decent HD channels. We got big ten HD a few weeks ago but no one cares about that.

Falcom @ Oct 23rd 2008 7:57PM
TWC is a joke where i live too. All of 15 HD channels and a few premiums. I switched to DirecTV and never looked back. What middle of nowhere town do I live in you ask? Los Angeles County. If TWC can't service one of the largest cities in the country, they fail at life. Although i seriously miss the internet connection they gave me, even if it did cost $40 more a month then i pay now.

I just went to the Time Warner Cable San Antonio website and checked out the channel lineup. It absolutely puts the TWC San Diego line up to shame across the board.

Now U-Verse needs to get on the ball with adding the channel, I'd love to watch Venture Bros HD whenever it comes on, and any of the other widescreen/HD shows they offer.
