These are studio monitors, not home theater speakers. What the crap people?
I have a set of Rokit 5's and I absolutely LOVE them. I've used them as speakers at quite a few parties and pushed them harder than I really should have almost every time, plus I use them every day as desktop speakers to jam out, and I haven't had them skip a beat. I talked Guitar Center down and got them for $99 each and I couldn't be happier for the money. I have them attached to a Lexicon Lambda and the audio quality is stunning.
My only complaint with the 5" Rokits is the lack of bass, but they make a 10" matching sub (the Rokit 10) which I'll eventually pick up. I saw that at GC one day attached to an electric drum kit. Some dude was absolutely rocking out on it, and drawing a pretty sizable crowd. I was pretty shocked to see that a single Rokit 10 was providing enough bass to EASILY fill the entire store when the crowd cleared. Very impressive for $350'ish.
I know KRK isn't exactly the top of the world when it comes to audio, but for the price they can't be beat. Compared to comparably priced PC speakers, the PC speakers will sound like an absolute ripoff compared to a set of these things... no thin rubber surrounds or paper drivers here.
