No magic solution yet. I have the PS3 BD remote so I deal with two remotes at the moment (Harmony).
As tempting as the IR2BT solution is, I am reluctant to spend another $50+ just to get IR support. Instead, I am waiting for SONY to include HDMI-CEC (Bravia Theatre-Sync) in the PS3 via a firmware upgrade, which has been rumored to be in the pipeline. This would allow me to control playback on the PS3 via my TV or my receiver, which both support HDMI-CEC. Only works if your TV or receiver also support HDMI-CEC, so it's not a solution for everyone.
Damn sony, such a simple detail they assumed would be overlooked. It's the small stuff most people sweat.
