Panasonic's TH-AE3000 1080p projector heads to Japan
Funny that Panasonic's TH-AE3000 was actually loosed here in the States first (under the PT-AE3000 label), huh? Nevertheless, those in Japan lookin' for some of that 1080p PJ action can get their desires satisfied this November when it ships for around ¥436,000 ($4,152).

Anyone know what the fill-factor is on this LCD? Has LCD gotten any better? Trying to determine why spending $1K more over the Sony HW10 SXRD (LCoS) is justified.

I'd go with the panny over the sony any day. Unless it was that Sony 4k one. mmmmm 4k.

You gave no reason why. Is it because you like the pixel structure to be evident? You like the screen door effect. The poor fill factor? Please explain why in image fidelity you would pay more for receiving less.
Not looking to bash Panny, but rather LCD as a projection technology. Of course, what is important to me may not be important to you--or anyone else. But, you give nothing.
