Amazon already delivered the
pricing information we've been
waiting on so patiently, and now the e-tailer has divulged the ship dates. Panasonic's
DMP-BD35 and DMP-BD55 Profile 2.0 Blu-ray players will evidently begin shipping on October 25th and 28th, respectively, and pre-orders are being accepted as we speak. 'Tis a shame there aren't any free Blu-ray Disc promotions, but it's not too late to add any in -- you listening, Amazon?
[Thanks, J.D.]

Excellent - the pricing info was good news. Now what separates these two players? Analog 7.1 outputs on the -55. Anything else?

I think the DMP55 has overall better sound quality than the 35.

They're identical except the BD55 has 7.1 analog outs.

Awesome players like the previous Panny BDs!

According to the Panasonic website, in release period of these two Blu-ray players you will recieve two free Blu-rays (one in the packaging and one you send off for) apparently to promote the launch of Disney films on Blu-ray.
