One of my friends bought a nice Monster Power clean power source. It definitely cleaned the image on his crappy Sony CRT, but did nothing at all for the sound of his super expensive power amplifier. The power input stage was so good, it already cleaned the crappy power that came out of the wall...

Just go to any high-end pro studio, and see if they use platinum power cables or diamond plated audio interconnects.
