Not a good sign of things to come.

2) they are installing baby DSL nodes, NOT next gen data/video networks. The last haul is via DSL to the house - that's why there is a limit of one HD feed at a time per house.

3) The top speed their internet offering goes is 10/1.5. Whoop dee doo.

4) The pricing is crap. Total crap. $125 for a "top of the line" package with 1.5 over 1.0 Internet access. Phone? $30 first line, $20 second line. Want HiDef? Yep - another $10. Want to watch it on five TVs? $5x5. So, at my house, what I'm currently paying $185 for, I'm now going to pay $125 + 50 + 10 + 25 = $210 and the bandwidth is still 1.5/1.0 - where as my $185 comes with a a static IP 6.0/1.0.

The whole point of these new technologies is to get more for same or less right? That's the marketing appeal after all.

AT&T you guys MISSED the mark big time.

I was initially bummed that Naperville was short sighted and chased you out of town, now I'm bummed you were allowed back in with such a ridiculously short offering.

Verizon - please come down here and show folks how it's done!

(and in case anyone is curious, that service is through WOW cable and AT&T's own CallVantage combo).

Peet
