The whole Profile 1.0 thing kind of put a damper on Sharp's
latest Blu-ray
players, but since they were showcased at the company's
CEDIA booth, we figured it prudent to take a few snapshots and pass 'em along. Design wise, the two are exceptionally similar, and we can't say with good faith that the HP50U is really worth the extra coin. Hit the gallery below and see if you can pick the two apart... and, go!

Sharps are so crappy these days... I use to think so highly of them but everything they've been crankin out is old last gen crap. Their current bluray players are slow and not intuitive at all. Little things like pressing play to close the disc tray and play the BD does not work. You have to actually press the open close button, then press play. Also the finish is crap. Cheap plastic that gets swirls and scratches by even microfiber cloths. As for their TV's? more crap... purple haze and bad screen uniformity problems. Horrible off angle viewing and sub par contrast. Also the remotes are cheap looking. I can go on and on... I'll just stop my rambling now... I've been working electronics too long. =/
