<generator>Blogsmith http://www.blogsmith.com/</generator><item><title><![CDATA[Comments on Hands-on / a look within Pioneer's Elite BDP-09FD Blu-ray player]]></title><link>http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/09/04/hands-on-a-look-within-pioneers-elite-bdp-09fd-blu-ray-player/</link><guid isPermaLink="true">http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/09/04/hands-on-a-look-within-pioneers-elite-bdp-09fd-blu-ray-player/</guid><description><![CDATA[Why do so many Blu-ray players look like some kind of satanic robot from a low-budget SciFi horror movie?]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[Ed]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Sep 4th 2008 10:20PM</pubDate></item><item><title><![CDATA[Comments on Hands-on / a look within Pioneer's Elite BDP-09FD Blu-ray player]]></title><link>http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/09/04/hands-on-a-look-within-pioneers-elite-bdp-09fd-blu-ray-player/</link><guid isPermaLink="true">http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/09/04/hands-on-a-look-within-pioneers-elite-bdp-09fd-blu-ray-player/</guid><description><![CDATA[Hello and good day to all AV enthusiasts,<br><br>1) There are those who will purchase a PSP-3,  for reasons that they have the combination of a great games console and a Blu-Ray player in one unit.<br>    This reason is valid and important, and not just because the price is acceptable  (different reason for different people.)<br>2) Then there are those who will purchase a separate Blu-Ray player from the likes of Panasonic, which are up there in terms of offering <br>    full features at a reasonable price point (they have been amongst the best at cutting prices in order to attract the early adopter.<br>3) The next batch of individuals for a number of reasons weather financial, family priorities, job situation, ect, ect as the reasons are numeruos<br>    indeed, and totally understood by myself ( and I really mean this friends.) <br>    They are quite happy with DVD or upconverted DVD's and that's totally fine and understood.<br>4) Then there are those who like all things slim and are fasion conscious and like thing that way and that's toally fine,<br>    as the market caters for all individuals with different products.<br>5) Then comes those that are sitting on the fence at the moment, because of one thing or another, or that they are fed up with the changing formats.<br>    This again is well and truly understood and acceptable.<br>6) The next individuals are those who do not appreciate? or fully understand? and at times? do not do their home work?<br>    They will criticise others? do not like equipment as it looks bulky, ugly? and would or could never justify the high price of a product which extreamly<br>    well made and so on? they will also speak badly of others for spending a great deal of their hard earned money on such products.<br>    This to is fully and sincerely understood friends.<br>7) The final individuals are those from various backgrounds, and with various incomes,  most with a healthy respectful, view of life<br>    who will enjoy the AV hobby and all of it's improvements along the way.<br>    They will wait patiently for the various formats to mature and while waiting!   will enjoy watching films, enjoy making sensible upgrades <br>    and improvements.<br>    They will check all forums, read many articles, gain much knowledge about products and see if the studios accross the board, are supporting<br>    this format.<br>    These individuals will work hard in their daily lives, keep themselves to themselves, and will appreciate the manufacturers who are willing to<br>    build and design hardware,  that will last and to be ahead of the game with features (personal pride of ownership here guys.)<br>    Some people like myself will purchase this great Pioneer ELITE product because they have a reputation for quality and refinement, of which they take<br>    very seriously indeed. <br>    I will pay this high sum of money for this player ( and this would take a few months to save for, but with joy.)<br>    Poineer's Reference THX DVD player was also released in the late 1997 aprox called the DV-09, this player held it's own for many years and is still<br>    Respected to this day by those who know their product.<br><br>    The bottom line to all of this is simple! if you want quality then you will pay for it and most of us are not rich or wealthy.<br>    Enjoy reading all of the messages here and shall look forward to hearing from others about this product or AV subject.<br><br>    Genuine and honest regards to all<br><br>    Mark ]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[Mark]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Sep 22nd 2008 9:46PM</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
